Privacy Policy

Who we are
PNW Bowl is operated by Blue2O Solutions, LLC (“PNW Bowl,” “we,” “us”). PNW Bowl helps Pacific Northwest bowling leagues, tournaments, and bowling centers publish schedules, standings, and scores, and lets bowlers follow and participate in them. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider). If you sign in with a third-party provider such as Facebook, we receive the basic profile information that provider shares with us — typically your name, email address, and profile picture — and nothing more. We never receive your Facebook password.
Profile and bowling data. League and tournament rosters, team affiliations, scores, averages, and handicaps you or a league/tournament admin enter on your behalf.
Contact and location information. A phone number if you provide one for SMS notifications, and a ZIP code or general location if you use “near me” search to find centers, leagues, or tournaments.
Usage data. Basic analytics about how the site is used (pages visited, general device/browser information) collected automatically to help us understand and improve the product. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and let you sign in.
- To display your name, scores, and league/tournament participation on public standings, leaderboards, and results pages, as described in our public bowler name display rules.
- To send you notifications about leagues, tournaments, or messages you've opted into, by email or SMS.
- To let you find centers, leagues, and tournaments near you.
- To respond to messages you send to admins or our team through the Contact page.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the platform, including preventing abuse.
SMS / text message notifications
If you provide a mobile number and turn on “SMS notifications” in your profile settings, PNW Bowl sends you transactional, event-driven text messages related to your own activity — for example, when your request to join a league or tournament is approved or declined, when a team you belong to has a roster or lineup change, when a substitute is needed for a league you participate in, or status updates for events you've signed up to compete in. These are not marketing or promotional messages.
- Consent. You opt in by entering your own mobile number and enabling “SMS notifications” in your profile. We never collect a mobile number for texting unless you enable this yourself, and consenting to texts is not a condition of using PNW Bowl.
- Message frequency varies and depends on your activity on the platform.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. You can also turn SMS notifications off at any time in your profile settings.
- We do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the messaging provider (Twilio) that delivers these texts on our behalf.
What's public vs. private
PNW Bowl is built around public standings and results — that's the point of the product. Scores, standings, and league/tournament participation tied to your display name are visible to anyone, without an account. Your email address, phone number, and exact address or ZIP code are never shown publicly. On public surfaces we show your first name and last initial unless you've set a custom display name; full names are visible only to relevant league, tournament, and center admins for management purposes.
Signing in with Facebook
If you choose to sign in or sign up using Facebook, Facebook will ask you to approve sharing certain information with PNW Bowl (name, email, and profile picture). We use that information solely to create or sign in to your PNW Bowl account. We do not post to your Facebook account, message your Facebook friends, or share your PNW Bowl activity to Facebook on your behalf. You can review or revoke PNW Bowl's access at any time from your Facebook account's Settings → Apps and Websites.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who host our infrastructure and send notifications on our behalf (database hosting, SMS delivery), under agreements that restrict them to providing that service.
- League, tournament, and center admins, limited to what they need to manage the events you're part of.
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect the safety or rights of our users or the public.
Your choices
- You can update your profile information, including your display name, at any time from your account settings.
- You can opt out of SMS or email notifications from your notification preferences.
- You can request that we delete your account and associated personal information — see our data deletion instructions. We may retain scores and standings tied to a league or tournament where removal would affect the historical record for other bowlers, but we will remove personally identifying details on request.
Data retention
We keep account and profile information for as long as your account is active. League, tournament, and score records are kept indefinitely as part of the historical record, consistent with the public nature of standings and results.
Children's privacy
PNW Bowl is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Youth bowlers who participate in leagues or tournaments may appear in publicly posted scores and standings entered by a parent, coach, or league admin, without the youth bowler holding an account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PNW Bowl evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify account holders.
